Calvert attributes much of his success to his perennial experience at the world-famous Berklee College of Music. His rich formal training artfully blends into an inspiring and original sound. Though his music is difficult to categorize, drawing from influences as diverse as Johann Sebastian Bach and Leo Kottke, John likes to classify it as simply guitar music.
